A message from Mr Coconut to his readers
Good day to you. Mr name is Mr Coconut. I live inside the coconut you see at the top of the page. It is a beautiful place to live, but very lonely. For many years I knew no one at all in my coconut. Not one person.
But there is a story of how I came to find friends in my coconut. And now my story has been made into a book by writer Chris Callard and illustrator Catherine Grimaldi. They tell me they raised the money for publishing the book through a Kickstarter campaign (I have no idea what that is). Catherine and Chris filmed me inside my coconut for what felt like days, to make a video you see underneath.
Catherine makes all her illustrations with puppetry, stitching and textiles, and Chris, who says he knows how to design books, has put it all together as a picture book.
If you would like to be kept updated on the book’s progress out into shops near you, or just hear about me in general once I learned how to use a keyboard, please subscribe with your email address using the box to the right. Or you can follow my page on something called Facebook. Or if you’d like to your can buy a copy of the book right now.
Thank you kindly for your time. I look forward to you reading my story. Whilst you are waiting please have a look at the video Chris and Catherine made about me for their Kickstarter page.
